Bangkok to Ko Tao!

BANGKOK TO KO TAO

AH. First week in Thailand, what a week it's been.
Not gonna lie, it's felt like a lifetime, probably because so much has happened within the past 7 days.
For those who don't know, I'm currently travelling around Thailand for 6 weeks with a group of mainly Canadians (they're all AWESOME) - There's about 24 of us in total!

We started off in Bangkok for two nights. I really didn't know what to expect since I've never been to any parts of Asia before. It was hectic. Bangkok is crazy, just in general, crowded, road rules, all of it.
I'm not sure if I liked Bangkok as much... although the shopping is immense! Bartering down clothing is so great there. I grabbed two pairs of crazy print baggy pants for 2.20 each!

After Bangkok we moved on to Ko Tao, we grabbed a train from Bangkok (10 frigging hours!!!)
Then a 2-3 hour ferry, to the island of PARADISE! We arrived to pure sunshine it was amazing.
The mountains covered in trees was such a gorgeous view. We've been here for about 4/5 days now *lost count* and leave in a couple of hours.

FASHION

So out here, it's amazing to develop your own personal style. You can wear whatever you want, and just go crazy with it. The prints they sell out here are beautiful, and the jewelry is some next level nice-ness!
We visit Bangkok again for one last night at the end of the 6 weeks  ....where I can finally go crazy buying stuff!  I've been wearing a lot of playsuits, since they're very light and comfortable.
BOOHOO were great for these, as well as primark! so cheap and light material, so it wouldn't matter if I wore the hell out of them on this trip. I only brang 2 pairs of shorts, one denim, one crazy printed pair. And a few tops which I could match with (or not match, no one cares if you match or not out here!)
a bumbag is a must have! I even picked up a spare from Poundland before I left.

My fav parts about Ko Tao, was the chilled-ness. I'm not crazy for wild nights anymore, so it was so great to chill on the beach at night with music and beach fire dancers! There was also a pub crawl we got involved with on a couple of nights, that was great and at a super cheap price for drinks and a tee included.

This afternoon we leave for Ko Phangan, where we stay for 4 nights. We are currently in monsoon season, so the rain is a bit of a bugger sometimes, but there's still plenty to do and the rain is rather refreshing!

I'll be sure to update my blog soon with futher Thailand updates!
Take care everyone!\
