CHEAP FRILLS

What is your favourite thing about your favourite fashion blogger?
Is it the amount pictures, lack of pictures, text, creative content?
I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on this.

Reason why I ask is that I met a photographer the other night at the Boux Avenue summer party (which was great fun by the way) who said he knew my blog. 'Ah yes, the blog with lots of pictures and little text' Haha, I liked it. I liked that he had something he could remember from briefly reading over my blog one evening. Even though it seems like a negative, I like to find the positives. I believe that with some outfit posts I post, I could leave the pictures to speak for themselves. I mean, why do we feel the need to endlessly write paragraphs about what we wore that day.  As we all know at times, it's hard to find words. So I'm thinking of maybe writing a little diary entry about my day for future posts, as well as a little outfit summary. I don't want my blog to just be seen as 'plenty o'pictures little dictionary use' I guess. Depending on my mood, it's damn tricky to just write in front of an empty laptop screen. There's so many words to say, but at times I cannot find the right way to place them in the way I want them too.

ANYHOW. Back to tonights outfit post my loves!
Greetings Primark. You've snuck yourself into another outfit of mine haven't you.
A dress I would never usually go for, if I'm honest. But I tried it on and hoped for the best.
& I damn liked it a lot, I did. I LOVED the thrills. I feel like I'm at a 80's wedding as a bridesmaid forced to wear some mad puffy ball of material. (but I'm actually enjoying it) - although this floral material reminds me of a print you might find on clip art, I'm thoroughly enjoying it's burst of baby pink slapped across a navy background. The thing I loved most about this dress was the rope tie that pulled it all together. Optional piece of course but I liked my waist pulled in with this dress for sure. This dress was super easy to team with a lot of black mess, since it's nicely incorporated within the lily's outlines. Since we all know it can be hard forcing black items into a pretty pastel outfit.

  3. That's amazing that he knew your blog! Such a good point that actually why do we need such a long explanation of why we put an outfit together when actually the pictures speak for itself! Love the dress and the necklace, is it a sun? So pretty :) cottonandcandie xx
