About today

This post is a little different to usual. Some of you may like it, some may not.
But I really wanted to express my feelings with you all today. Fashion bloggers have feelings too.

Today, just was one of 'those days' what even is 'one of *those* days'? I've just felt a little bit 'meh', and a little bit un-explainable, basically it's THAT time of the month, which every girl hates, but I'm willing to see it out, like I do every other month.

I sat down on Old St this evening with my Dr Pepper, watching the world go by. I noticed a homeless guy sitting on the bench next to me with a copy of the Islington Tribune and can of Carling. I watched him read thoroughly through the whole paper for about 47 minutes. The page he was most interested in was travel. He looked both hopeful and hopeless as he read the travel section. I totally lost myself in him, and took myself out of this world to just admire his emotions whilst reading the paper.

Shortly after finishing it he got up, with his paper and Carling, and walked into the coming crowd of Old St. Walking so care free, but also so ghostly. He just vanished amongst the flurry of busy people. I'll probably never see him again but he made a great impact on my day.

I rarely take photos of people any more, and it was so nice to take a second snapping this guy reading about the travel section, I instantly felt the want to do this more. It made me remember to appreciate things I have often, not always focusing on the things I 'want'. We're all guilty of forgetting daily to appreciate the small things in life, and that's not a bad thing because it's the things like this that can remind you to do so. People, lift your head from your phone and take a second to admire someone. It might just take a positive turn on your day.
Thanks for taking a second to feel my feels. I'm seven shades of emotional today, can you tell?

May tomorrow be a more positive & uplifting day, for us all.
Enjoy my sweets, I'm now going to indulge in some angel cake and watch crap TV e.g Big Brother.

My outfit posts will be back ASAP, but I'm just feeling a little spacey right now.
I'm even surprised I managed to write out this whole passage.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my post.

  1. This post really made me reconsider a lot of things, I think we get too stuck in our own lives we fail to see what it is like for others. I certainly need to be more appreciative of what I have because it could just as easily all be taken away from me...
