MY GO-TO SWIMSUIT Ft MISSGUIDED

SS16 Missguided Swimwear

So whilst I was in Asia, this was my go to swimsuit throughout the 8 weeks.
I absolutely adore this Missguided swimsuit, for many reasons. I'm not really the kind of girl that can pull off a bandage swimsuit, I feel I wouldn't look good with my tummy fully on show right now, more importantly I don't feel that I would FEEL comfortable with my full tummy out.  I've recently even become to dislike wearing many cleavage revealing garments. Though, I've always felt so much more comfortable in swimsuits & high waist bikinis over the years... it leaves my mind at ease knowing I'm a little more covered up. I'm hoping that I'll be able to feel confident to rock a skimpy bikini one day, but, I'm not in that place just yet. So, here's me, in my go-to swimsuit right now.

The two things I love most about this swimsuit are: number one being the cut, & number two being the colour. The cut is super flattering for starters, the most eye catching part is obviously the cut out sides, which are pretty unusual. The shape of this swimsuit is amazing, since the cut out sides really do create a slimmer waist line illusion which is great for the less confident. I also love the V shape front, creating a slight bit of cleavage but not being overly revealing.

The colour; Khaki, swamp green, whatever you see it to be- I love it.
Khaki is super on trend right now, though never did I think of having a khaki swimsuit?
Usually I think of blacks, florals & reds as my first picks, but having this deep dirty shade of green is rather refreshing.
The colour doesn't overly stand out, it's quite a cool & unique shade, which I can totally get on board with, though if this colour doesn't float your boat, I think Missguided actually have this in a few more colour options- the red looks lovely, though I'm not entirely sure if I would be able to rock the white version.

Swimsuit colour tips: Darker swimsuits are a better option if you're aiming to shadow your bodies natural lumps and bumps, lighter colours such as lemons & whites are going to highlight almost everything (especially when wet!) - You can shop the Khaki Swimsuit @ Missguided here.

Missguided's swimsuits have always been good to me. These pictures were taken after 4 weeks of constant wear (4 days a week at least) - so I was expecting the material to be a little less hugging compared to when I tried it on for the first time. The material is great, though as you may be able to see, the padded cup parts are a little visible in some lights, mainly when wet too. I believe these are removable though if you prefer to have none there.

I'm so keen to film a swimwear look book this summer- showcasing my favourite styles & colours for the SS16 season. What do you all think? Is this something you would be interested in watching?
Let me know your thoughts on this post, what's your go-to piece of swimwear?
