BAD HABITS, I WILL BREAK YOU

ASOS As seen on me

A new year means we should start a fresh slate from the previous right? There are definitely some habits I'd like to put to bed that's for sure. Over the past year (in some cases even more) I've noticed some things in particular that I've been doing a little more than I would of liked... now I'm pretty certain I'm not alone on most of these things, so if you feel my pain & would like to break these habits too, join me! it's now or never!

LATE REPLIES

GAH. Late replies. Damn I am a sucker for replying late, whether that be text messages, emails or replying back to comments. You would think that having this new fancy technology that connects us to people within seconds would have us all on time with our replies- but I'm certainly the opposite. Why though? Why do I do this? Most of the time, I'm in between tasks when I'm checking my emails or text messages- so if I'm walking to the tube station for instance, I'll read the message then reply in my head whilst putting my phone away.... BAD MOVE. I then totally forget about this text or email, and either come back to it hours (or some times DAYS) later, which is pretty shitty on my behalf.

BAILING OUT

Sometimes I cancel plans last minute, this is usually down to the lack of organisation. If I'm due to be in London for 6pm and I'm still faffing around in Essex gone 4pm, I'm going to be late, which often leads me to not bothering. I either need to commit to plans knowing I can follow through with them, or.... don't make the plans in the first place?

PICKING

Having eczema on my head teamed with anxiety leads to my hands always being occupied with my head. My head produces a lot of dry skin scabs, which I'm a little obsessed with picking. I know it sounds odd, but I love the feeling, but it sure has become an awful habit I need to break. The last thing my bleached head needs is open wounds, not only is it a killer to bleach on top of, but I'll be kicking myself when my hair starts to fall out.

''I'LL DO IT TOMORROW'' ATTITUDE

Who else feels me on this one? I'm THE worst for this. Working for myself, I often have this attitude towards daily errands and work itself. Why tomorrow? Why not rift now or later THAT day? I wouldn't mind if I actually followed through with the 'do it tomorrow' errands, but 80% of the time they get pushed on to the next day... and the next day.... you get my drift.

CONSTANT COMPARISON

Comparison. Something we're all a victim to. Why do we do it to ourselves? There's days where I don't want to get out of bed because I don't feel good enough. You'll often hear that the person you're comparing yourself to is having a magic time right now, but, we all have compared ourselves to somebody else's successes at one time or another. WE'RE ALL WORTH IT GUYS & GIRLS. The time we spend moping around putting ourselves down is time we could be putting in to making something awesome for ourselves.

Can you relate to any of my struggles? Do let me know your thoughts below! Lots of love.

  1. I canderiniteky relate to the do it tomorrow attitude as I have an actual excuse due to my laptop being unable to load up for me to edit things so I physically can't doing anything which is SO frustrating! Love this mixture of prints within this outfit Charlotte!
